The project by Encho Enchev, who works as Senior 3D artist and designer at Ubisoft, combines retro-inspired proportions and surface treatment with details and technology found on modern racing cars.
The vehicle concept was wrapped with different racing liveries – including a GT RS version and a Le Mans version – as well as a road going supercar.
As the author explains, “The challenge was to create a car that would fit in to the Porsche brand. I have gathered a lot of references to study the correct lines and shapes that Porsche uses in their racing models. I wanted the car to be believable and not to look like a cheap tuning.”
Inspiration from the project came from several models, such as the Porsche 911GT3 RS, GT1, 918,919 Le Mans and Carrera GT.
The 3D concept was modeled in 3ds Max and rendered using V-Ray, with post-processing done in Photoshop.
