The Nissan Kaze (Wind in Japanese) was started by Carlos Palacios as a real project for a Spanish University; the vehicle was then developed as a personal project.
The concept features a rear mid-engine 6.5L V12 and an open, barchetta body style, with a design language influenced by the Streamline movement from the 1940s and by the spirit and technology of Formula One.
As Carlos explains, “The aim was to create something close to production, feasible, but at the same time sculptural like a piece of art. Something that you could enjoy just looking it stand still or of course doing some racing in a circuit.”
The sketches were also presented to a Spanish design contest sponsored by Nissan and Autopista magazine, where they earned Carlos the 3rd place.
