The focus of Ina Janisch‘s diploma thesis at thesis at the Braunschweig University of Art was “to develop a concept for tundra-specific transport considering the aspects of global warming and population growth”, for a future where scarcely inhabited areas are used more efficiently.
The driver can steer in a sitting or standing position depending on the terrain and situation. The vehicle can adapt to different terrains by adjusting the suspension setup, wheel width and driving functions.
“For example, a sled-mode can be used on snowy downhill terrain adding driving fun – especially in combination with the stand-up position.”
The power is supplied by ethanol producing microbes, in combination with electric motors.
The design was inspired by polar sledding equipment, light weight constructions and high-tech fabrics.
The vehicle concept focus is on an explicit design language developed in cooperation with Volkswagen Group Design.

I like the sketches; very good skills in fact, but I don´t find it desirable to drive.
