Era-Motive Concept
Yana Briggs had a series of models on display, including a yacht concept and a few automotive projects, both of which where able to levitate. One of these was a concept born from a business proposal for a new modern day taxi service.
The Era-Motive utilizes an EmDrive propulsion system that allows the vehicle to hover one meter above existing road infrastructure.
With an easily recognizable exterior design, the concept features a center driving position for the pilot and three seats for occupants at the rear.
Thanks to the vehicle’s ability to elevate several feet off the ground, it has the capability to overcome adverse weather conditions such as snow and flood-ridden roadways as well as other road hazards.
Mazda Code M Concept
The other project was a sponsored project called the Mazda Code M. Inspired by the falling motion of sycamore leaves and dynamic sculptures drawn into space through dance performance, “the idea was to conceptualize and envision the evolution of cars far out into the future and bring their design cues onto today’s traditional car package and drive train,” says Briggs.
In the end, two versions were created: one using the RX8 platform and a levitation vehicle propelled by Dyson bladeless fans.
